People can be real assholes to plus size and/or diverse cosplayers.
My cosplay article has been posted <3
We interrupt your usual tumblring with a bonafide BITCHRANT from your friendly Hatter…
I don’t get it WTF IS WRONG with these people who have to sit there and make folks like us (I too am fat, black and a cosplayer) feel like shit.
You wanna diss me for being a size 22 cosplaying as Princess Celestia? BRING IT. Got a problem that I’ve done Thor? SAY IT. Wanna get testy with me for being Iridessa, Rarity, Altaria, Flaffy, Queen Chrysalis, a Team Rocket Grunt, Trowa Barton, a Pirate wench, an Orion Starfleet Officer, BLU Scout, RED Medic, Poison Ivy and a bunch of original costume ideas? OUT WITH IT!
Go on ahead and say whatever shit you want. I’ll listen with a half-ear; Flip you off, and go on my merry way.
Because when I’m at those conventions or outings in my cosplays, I’m out there for me. I am not there for you. Not for pictures, although I will pose for them as long as they’re tasteful. Not for interviews, although as long as its non-sexualized I’ll do it. Again. I am not there for YOU.
I go to these conventions for me. I make these costumes for me. I will do what I want, wear it how I feel and LIKE IT; because I FUCKING LIKE ME.
Which is all that ever fucking matters. You can tell that BriChibi likes herself, likes her hobby and damns everyone else in the process with her fierce and on point looks.
This article is pretty much proof.
Y’all ain’t no fucking Yaya Han. Y’all shouldn’t be saying SHIT to NO cosplayer, what so ever. That’s all.
